I am a board-certified psychiatrist in private practice in New York City and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine. I treat children, adolescents, and adults, drawing on training in both psychoanalysis and cognitive behavioral therapy so that I can understand a problem in more than one way rather than fitting everyone to a single method.
You will always be my focus as we work together. I will develop a personalized plan of therapy and/or medication to meet your needs and to help you achieve your goals. I keep a deliberately small practice so that I can give you unhurried attention and remain personally reachable.
I treat the full range of psychiatric conditions across the lifespan — from anxiety, depression, and ADHD to mood, obsessive-compulsive, and more complex presentations — in children, adolescents, and adults.
Insight-oriented work, grounded in fellowship training in psychoanalysis, for patterns that recur over time.
Structured, skills-based treatment for anxiety, depression, and related conditions.
Thoughtful prescribing, with attention to benefit, side effects, and your own preferences about medication.
The initial session is a chance for me to get to know you, listen to your concerns and learn about your goals. We can then work together to decide on the appropriate course of treatment. The initial session usually runs about 90 minutes — either one extended visit or two 45-minute sessions; ongoing sessions are typically 45 minutes.
I see patients both in my office and by telehealth. To make the most of your first visit, please complete the new patient package in advance — the office will send you the appropriate link — and have a photo of the front and back of your insurance card ready to upload or email.
Upon request, I am glad to provide a superbill — an itemized receipt you can submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Please contact the office with any questions about fees before your first appointment.
